Zulfi Waterfall near Natgiagali, Pakistan.

This picture was taken near Nathia gali in Pakistan at Zulfi Waterfall. This waterfall is not yet popular among the tourists visiting this area. It is a beautiful place with abundant plant and animal life around.
For me the most beautiful part of the whole landacape was the flowing water of the waterfall. I wanted to show this movement of water in my picture hence i shot it at a very slow shutter speed. My camera was mounted on a tripod and using a telephoto lens i took this shot.

Mubarak Village at night.

Mubarak Village nightscape

A long exposure nightscape of Mubarak Village beach near Karachi, Pakistan. This shot was taken at 2'o clock in the morning. The whole landscape was lit by moonlight and small bio-luminescent plankton in water which give off a blue/green light.

I had my camera on a tripod and had to use very slow shutter speeds and a small aperture for the correct exposure and maximum depth of field. The slow shutter speed has turned the waves into a blanket of fog engulfing the whole scene.

The small bio-luminescent plankton give off light when disturbed. The ones in front of a wave are disturbed by wave motion and give of a brief spark of light. This phenomenon produces a brilliant color show and is very rare.

Al-Musawwir introduction.

Hi. My name is Taariq Haneef and I am an amateur photographer .I have started this blog as a tribute to the one and only true artist of this world, Allah Almighty. One of his 99 names is 'Al-Musawwir', meaning, 'The Artist'.

Since i started photography, almost seven years ago, I have been overwhelmed by the nature and its beauty. Photography told me the difference between just looking at things and truly seeing them. The more I saw the more I believed. Quickly i realized that as a photographer i can not create anything. I can just copy the work of the one true artist, Al-Musawwir, and show it to the world by holding that moment still forever in my camera.

I will be sharing my own images of the beautiful nature and of everything around us. I would like to pay my tribute to Al-Musawwir in this way. Hope you will like what you see.

Please check back regularly as I will be adding more & more images.
